You may already know the situation.
You know what you intended to say, choose, refuse, ask for, pursue, or leave. You may understand why the situation affects you. You may have thought about it from every angle.
And yet, when the moment arrives, something changes.
You soften.
Explain.
Freeze.
Go blank.
Rush.
Push harder.
Stay.
Withdraw.
Begin managing someone else’s reaction.
Lose access to what had been clear.
Most approaches begin with the whole story—or with what happened after the response had already begun.
They help you understand why it happened, reframe what it means, regulate what you feel, or practice a different response.
That can help you manage or override the response.
It does not resolve the nervous-system prediction producing it.
The only leverage for change lives at the exact moment that prediction begins generating the response.
Everything before that moment is context.
Everything after it is consequence.
The moment itself is where the prediction becomes available for resolution.
That is what makes my work different.
We do not stop at understanding the response or helping you manage it more effectively. We return to the precise moment it began, where the prediction can resolve directly—and the response no longer has to be managed.
The Situation Locator is the first step: finding that moment.
The questions will guide you from:
the whole story
to one current situation,
one concrete occurrence,
and the exact moment something changed.
You do not need to diagnose yourself.
You do not need to identify a pattern.
You do not need to explain your entire history.
By the end, you will have located:
Locating the moment does not resolve the situation.
But it reveals the only place where resolution can occur.
Choose one current situation.
Then choose one specific time it happened.
Answer with what actually happened in that instance—not what usually happens, what the situation means, or your conclusions about it.
You may use the prompts entirely privately by answering them in your own journal or notes app.
Only enter and submit your responses here if you would like to offer the moment for possible consideration in Bring Me the Moment.
Afterward, you can also decide whether the situation matters enough that you want to learn about resolving it through Situational Clarity.
You have moved from the whole story to the exact moment where the response began.
That moment is where the nervous-system prediction driving the response becomes available for resolution.
Locating it is not the same as resolving it.
But now you know where the work is—and what leaving it unresolved is costing you.
What you found belongs to you.If you answered the questions in your own journal or notes app, nothing further is required.
If naming the cost made it clear that this situation matters enough to resolve, the next step is to learn about Situational Clarity. The Situation Locator finds the point of leverage.Situational Clarity is where we work at that point until the situation is complete.[Learn about Situational Clarity]
